My vision for Rotary Foundation Australia
Jessie Harman, Chair, Rotary Foundation Australia
“It was The Rotary Foundation that made the difference – that proved to everyone, once and for all, that Rotary really is a powerful vehicle for change.”
My vision for The Rotary Foundation is woven deeply into my vision for Rotary in Australia – people of all ages and backgrounds, working together across our nation, addressing real community needs, in smart and sustainable ways.
My vision for Rotary’s future is filled with energy, creativity and optimism. I see vulnerable individuals and groups turning to us first for solutions. I see business leaders and governments calling on us for our connections, our resourcefulness and our reach. I see members in their tens of thousands and growing, knowing they belong, knowing they make a genuine difference.
I see Rotary’s Foundation at the heart of this resourceful and influential future for Rotary. It is the financial engine powering our impact, the delivery method that prioritises sustainable results and the brand that inspires confidence and trust. It is us – Rotarians and Rotaractors – delivering on our promise to provide positive and lasting change.
And the role of Rotary Foundation Australia in all of this? Simply to be there, ensuring that The Rotary Foundation can work to best possible effect in this country – raising funds, connecting donors to projects, changing lives – across the globe, in communities and in ourselves.
