Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI)
The framework reflects the Rotary International objectives and is adapted from the McKinsey 5 A strategy framework for success, which can be applied to many projects, but has been embraced by the DEI Portfolio Team, led by Edith Chaney.
THE FIVE “A’s” for DEI are:
- ASPIRE: SET A BOLD BUT ACHIEVABLE DEI ASPIRATION Embrace diversity, promote equity and foster inclusion
- ASSESS: BUILD THE FACT BASE Develop a quantitative and qualitative DEI baseline.
- ARCHITECT: DEVELOP THE PLAN Identify initiatives to support the bold DEI aspiration.
- ACT: MOBILISE CAPABILITIES AND RESOURCES Support DEI initiatives with appropriate resourcing.
- ADVANCE: MEASURE PROGRESS TO PLAN AND SUSTAIN MOMENTUM DEI evaluation to reflect on achievements and build on new skills and knowledge
Rotary Community Leaders, and club leaders are encouraged to reach out to the Diversity Equity and Inclusion portfolio and you can make your initial contact by email on: dei@rotarysouthpacific.org
