Organised by the Rotary Clubs of Ku-ring-gai, St Ives, Turramurra, Wahroonga and Upper Northern Beaches, the Bobbin Head Cycle Classic is a major fundraiser for Lifeline. Every 34 seconds, someone in crisis calls Lifeline. Every $100 raised funds two hours of Lifeline crisis support, while $1,200 will fund one day of life-saving support.
With four different ride lengths (104km, 80km, 57km and 27km), there’s a ride that is just right for every level of fitness and skill.
Starting and finishing in Turramurra, the various rides take participants through beautiful Ku-ring-gai National Park and Bobbin Head. Located in Sydney’s north, Ku-ring-gai encompasses coastline, rainforest, bushland and a portion of the Hawkesbury River. The park has significant Aboriginal sites, including ancient red ochre rock paintings and rock engravings.
