The Rotary Club of Padstow is hosting a special international project and membership evening, ‘Centre for Possibilities Philippines’, highlighting the inspiring work of the Centre for Possibilities (CFP). The evening will feature a mini art exhibition, a documentary film screening, and a presentation by CFP founder Dolores Cheng, who has come from Manila for this special presentation.
Held from 6:30pm to 8pm, the evening will showcase the impact of the Centre for Possibilities in the Philippines – an organisation dedicated to empowering people with disabilities through education, creativity and inclusion.
“From disabled to enabled,” says Dolores, capturing the mission that drives the centre’s life-changing work.
The evening will begin at 6:30pm with the opening of an art exhibition, where guests can view works connected with the Centre for Possibilities while enjoying light refreshments.
At 7pm, the club’s International and Membership Director Frank Pezzimenti will officially welcome guests and introduce Ms Cheng, founder of the Centre for Possibilities.
Ms Cheng will present at 7:05pm, sharing the origins and achievements of the centre. At 7:20pm, guests will view a 20-minute screening of the film YAKAP, offering a powerful insight into the lives impacted by the centre’s work.
Following the screening, Ms Cheng will return with reflections and further insights into current initiatives and plans, before the evening concludes at 8pm.
The Rotary Club of Padstow invites you to attend this meaningful event and discover how the Centre for Possibilities Philippines is creating opportunities, dignity and hope.
The club encourages attendees to bring their partners and a friend who might be interested in the international work of Rotary and those thinking of becoming a member.
Please note that the venue for this event is at the Werriwa Room – Revesby Workers Club Function Centre, NSW (not at the club’s normal meeting place).
