Ping Pong-A-Thon

Ping Pong-A-Thon is bringing communities together and uniting them under one cause: bringing freedom to the world’s most vulnerable. Their weapon of choice? The Pong. The fundraising and advocacy movement is combating human trafficking and exploitation of young people through a series of table tennis events held every year.

Since 2011, the campaign has raised more than $3.89 million, with more than $406,000 raised in 2023. From Perth to Brisbane, Darwin to Hobart, Aussies from all over the country have been wielding their bats and using their freedom to stand in the gaps for those that have none.

The organisations supported and funded through Ping Pong-A-Thon are on the front lines in fighting slavery. They rescue those currently stuck in slavery, work with communities to ensure slavery is prevented, and bring legal and systematic change to ensure laws are passed and enforced and that perpetrators are prosecuted.

The impact has been nothing short of remarkable, with freedom restored to thousands of lives. The Rotary Club of Waverley has joined the fight, in partnership with P4T. On October 29, 2023, the club invited all District 9810 clubs to participate in a Ping Pong-A-Thon event to see how it works, with a view to organising similar events in their own clubs or communities.

The event is a fun way to engage people across all age groups, so get on board and make an impact – “May Your Pong Be Strong”.
