Reconnect with your circle of influence
In the world of Rotary, we’re constantly building connections and fostering relationships. We sponsor youth to attend life-changing programs like RYLA and the National Youth Science Forum, and we invite inspiring speakers to share their expertise and passion with our clubs. But what happens when the event is over and the applause fades? Do we let those connections lapse?
Rotary Reconnect Week in 2025 will be celebrated 6-12 October and is an opportunity to revisit those valuable relationships. It’s a dedicated time for Rotarians to reach out to the individuals who have been touched by our clubs’ work. Think about the bright young student your club sponsored for a student exchange or the dynamic speaker who shared their personal journey. These individuals already have a positive experience with Rotary and are part of your circle of influence.
It’s never too late to ask a person who was sponsored by your club or a speaker at your club to join Rotary. They’ve seen first-hand the good that Rotarians do, and they’ve been part of our journey, even if only for a short time. A simple call or email can re-ignite that spark and bring them back into the fold, this time as a member.
This year’s membership edition is all about strengthening our ranks by looking inward and outward. Rotary Reconnect Week is a perfect time to reflect on those we’ve influenced and whose lives have been enriched by our service. Let’s not let those connections fade away.
Rotary Reconnect Week is another chance to finish any unfinished business, develop your relationship with those people in your circle of influence and invite them back.
