There are five opportunities for you to be part of our Regional Council

The two-year terms of three Regional Council Portfolio leads finish at the end of 2025, plus the term of the Interim Chair Replacement. Appointment will be by a selection process overseen by a nominating panel, and expressions of interest will be called for later this month. Those already incumbent in the roles are welcome to apply.

The appointments open are the leads of:

• Membership
• Learning and Development,
• Fundraising Partnerships and Grants,
• Regional Council Chair
• Additional position to bring the Regional Council to 10 directors

The Regional Council following this selection process will appoint one of the directors to be Deputy Chair.

Minimum eligibility is to be a Rotaractor or Rotarian in good standing with your Club, and able to be appointed as a director under Australian corporate law.

*Please note that this does not exclude members from New Zealand or other countries.

Key dates are:

• 25 September: We will call for Expressions of Interest (EOIs)
• 4 and 5 October: Information webinars run and recordings available on website
• 16 October (12 pm AEDT): EOIs closed
• 20 October: Application forms sent out to eligible candidates
• 3 November (12 pm AEDT): Applications close, selection papers prepared for Nominating Panel
• 6 November: Nominating Panel deliberations, interviews and selection of primary and alternate candidates
• 13 November: Announcement of successful candidates and start of objection period
• 28 November: End of objection period

We are also seeking expressions of interest to fill two newly created positions, for the role of Assistant Company Secretary of Rotary International Zone 8 Regional Council Ltd. This role would suit members with governance experience, alternatively, early-career professional or a student in law, governance, public administration or related field.
