On a mission to do good in the world
Dennis Shore, Rotary Foundation Trustee
November marks Rotary Foundation Month, a time to recognise and celebrate the powerful role our Foundation plays in advancing world understanding, goodwill and peace.
The visionary leadership of Arch C. Klumph, the sixth president of Rotary International, created what we know today as The Rotary Foundation.
The mission of our Foundation has evolved and sits in harmony with the mission of Rotary International.
The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.
The Rotary Foundation provides the financial resources to help Rotarians power the implementation of programs that deliver lasting change and improve the lives of millions of people across the globe.
The Rotary Foundation is Rotary’s charity, operated by and on behalf of Rotary members to help them do good in the world by advancing world understanding, goodwill and peace, the fundamental shared goal of Rotary and The Rotary Foundation.
Rotary members have supported our Foundation and adapted to deliver bold programs with impact, engagement and reach.
Can you imagine what Rotary would be like without The Rotary Foundation? The Foundation would have no purpose without Rotary, but Rotary would be nothing like we know it without our Foundation.
From PolioPlus to all the other outstanding programs of our Foundation – both past and present – The Rotary Foundation has delivered magical outcomes and continues to raise the bar with exciting new programs, such as Programs of Scale, to make a real and sustainable difference.
The 2024-25 Rotary year signals an important milestone for The Rotary Foundation – to reach its goal of US$2.025 billion for the Endowment Fund by 2025 so Rotary members can continue to do good in the world – forever.
By confirming The Rotary Foundation as your charity of choice you ensure that Rotary continues to deliver that inspiring vision of Arch Klumph through the Magic of Rotary.
